With Dhali's next-generation API monetization system, users who hit rate limits can seamlessly unlock unlimited paid access through a paid API key—all while keeping everything within the XRPL ecosystem.

Currently, Xaman's infrastructure, on average, processes nearly a thousand calls per second, taking into account both RPC and Websocket calls, a testament to the immense demand from XRPL users and developers.

However, we understand that some power users will occasionally need more capacity, as a very significant portion of those infrastructure users have to get rate-limited to ensure quality for normal users. Our collaboration with Dhali introduces a straightforward way to keep our cutting-edge infrastructure available and responsive for everyone while offering solutions to those who simply need more.

With Dhali's API monetization, users who reach the limits of our free tier can switch to a paid tier that provides, at first, unlimited paid RPC calls and, in the future, also WebSocket calls. This ensures continuous, high-performance access for those scaling up without any interruptions.

The best part? Payments will be made in XRP & XAH-assets, keeping the entire process within the XRPL ecosystem. In the future, Dhali will also be adding support for a variety of payments via Xahau, meaning users will be able to leverage the capabilities of stablecoins on Xahau.

How It Works

There's no immediate change if you're currently operating within our infrastructure. Users will continue to enjoy the same robust infrastructure limits. However, if you find yourself approaching those limits, Dhali offers a smooth upgrade path via our API key:

RPC (JSON POST requests above free tier): If you exceed the free tier, you can unlock unlimited access via our monetized API key powered by Dhali.

Users will be able to generate funded API keys directly from the XRPL Cluster by simply clicking a button. Once you have your API key, you can embed it straight into your XRPL Cluster requests, and it just works seamlessly.

This integration means users can now scale beyond their current capacity while benefiting from the reliability and trust of the XRPL ecosystem.

At launch, only RPC calls will be affected by this change; WebSocket calls will not be impacted now. However, WebSockets will undergo the same migration in the future, allowing for a consistent and scalable experience in the ecosystem.

How to Unlock Paid Unlimited API Access

For users and developers hitting the rate limits of the Xaman infrastructure, unlocking unlimited access is simple.

1. Option 1: Want to prevent running into limits? Get credentials and pre-fund your paid unlimited API access to the Xaman infrastructure at https://pay.dhali.io/?exampleGetUrl=https://run.api.dhali.io/199fd80b-1776-4708-b1a1-4b2bb386435d/

2. Option 2: Reach API Rate Limits: When you reach the API rate limits, you will see a message in the error response notifying you that you've hit the limit and can continue using Dhali's paid API key.

3. Visit Dhali's Payment Portal: Follow the link provided in the error message, which directs you to Dhali's payment portal. This portal will allow you to generate and pre-fund a funded API key for unlimited access with XRP or XAH.

4. Embed API Key: Once you complete the payment, you'll receive your unique API key. This should be placed in the Payment-Claim header. Simply replace the current xrplcluster.com URL in your server-to-server requests with the new Dhali URL:
